Jump Desktop 8.10.3 Mac Beta

New Features in 8.10.1:

  • New listview columns:
    • Last Seen: Indicates the most recent time a machine was online. Ideal for managing multiple machines and identifying ones that may need to be removed.
    • Last Connected: Displays the last time you established a connection with a machine.

  • Audio output does not switch automatically in some cases

New Features in 8.10.0:

  • Observe Mode Toggle: Easily enable observe mode using the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Cmd+Shift+O).
  • Prevent Local Display Sleep: Keep your local display awake during connection activity - perfect for watching or monitoring connections. Access this option via Jump Desktop -> Settings -> General.
  • Enhanced Listview Mode: Icons have been added in listview mode to clearly show the online and offline status of machines:

Fixes in 8.10.0:

  • Fixed iCloud Syncing: Resolved an issue with iCloud syncing that was causing duplicate computers to be displayed.

  • New: Microphone redirection support for Fluid connections. You can now send audio to the machine you're connecting to. At the moment this supported when connecting from a Mac to another Mac. 
    1. Make sure you're running Jump Desktop Connect 6.7.65 beta.
    2. Make sure you're connecting from a Mac
    3. After you connect click Remote -> Audio -> Send Audio and select a local device to start recording from.
    4. On the remote / host mac, the audio will play on the Jump Desktop Microphone device.
  • New: Options to always start connections in 'Observe Only' mode and turn of Fluid's resolution matching for all connections. Open up Jump Desktop -> Preferences -> General -> Connections
  • Fixes for playing audio through Bluetooth headphones.
  • New: Retina mode for Fluid connections. At the moment only supported when connecting from a Mac with a retina screen to another Mac with a retina screen. 
    1. Make sure you're running Jump Desktop Connect 6.7.65 beta on the host.
    2. Make sure you're connecting from a Mac with a Retina display and make sure the remote Mac also has support for retina.
    3. After you connect click Remote -> Displays -> Use Retina Resolution.

Please note: Retina mode requires up to 4x the number of pixels an may have a performance impact on connections.

Open up Jump Desktop and click Jump Desktop -> Preferences -> General -> Check For Beta Updates and then click Jump Desktop -> Check For Updates.

If you don't see the Check for Beta Updates, you'll need to download the web version of Jump Desktop for Mac from here: http://jumpdesktop.com/downloads/JumpDesktopMac.zip

How to get Jump Desktop for Windows Beta

Open open up Jump Desktop for Windows -> File -> Settings -> Updates -> Check the checkbox Beta Updates and click Check for updates.
