Jump Desktop 10 Beta 10

Version 10.14.5 (2026-06-25)

Changes since 10.13.6:

Important — Connect: This version changes USB redirection behavior. USB redirection is now disabled by default, the same as it already is for Teams connections. To let connected users redirect USB devices to this computer, open Jump Desktop Connect → Settings (gear icon) → Advanced → Fluid Remote Desktop and turn on Enable USB redirection. (Team-managed installs continue to follow the USB policy set from the Teams dashboard.)

New Features

  • Viewer: Add an All Displays option to the Display menu — in single-window mode with multiple remote monitors, it composites every remote display into one window.
  • Viewer: Redirect a USB stylus or pen tablet (including Wacom tablets) to the remote computer on Windows and macOS, so the host recognizes the full USB stylus device. For best results, connect in virtual-display mode with the viewer set to match the host's displays 1:1, configure the stylus using the host's own tablet software, and — on Windows viewers — uninstall or disable the local stylus drivers so low-level USB redirection can take over.
  • Viewer: Add Block Local Mouse, which stops your local mouse from moving the remote cursor while your keyboard keeps working (Remote menu, or Ctrl+Alt+M on Windows / Ctrl+Opt+Cmd+M on macOS). When a pen or drawing tablet is redirected, duplicate mouse movement from the pen is now suppressed automatically.
  • Viewer: Add a Color Passthrough toggle (Color menu) for color-accurate sessions — the remote display's native colors reach your screen without color processing on either end. Available with both Windows and macOS hosts (macOS hosts require macOS 15 or later). Color Passthrough is intended only for professional applications such as photo and design work; best-practices documentation is coming soon.
  • Viewer: macOS: Add QR-code sign-in — the sign-in dialog's "Show QR Code" button lets you sign in by scanning a code with your phone instead of using the desktop browser.
  • Viewer: macOS: Add a Start Dictation command (Edit menu, Ctrl+Opt+Cmd+D) and stop the local Caps Lock and input-source indicators from appearing over the remote screen (General settings: "Restore macOS Dictation shortcut").
  • Viewer: Windows: Make the Mouse & Gestures button mappings editable, so you can remap mouse buttons (for example, Ctrl + left-click to right-click).

Improvements

  • Connect: Add controls for USB device redirection: a master on/off setting (now off by default) plus per-type permissions for HID devices, gamepads, and FIDO security keys, under Advanced > Fluid Remote Desktop. Menu items now also explain why redirection is unavailable when it can't be used.
  • Viewer: Menu commands now support customizable keyboard shortcuts, configurable per input profile.

Bug Fixes

  • Connect: macOS: Fix the Mac host being left on the wrong audio output device after a remote session ends, including with multiple simultaneous sessions or after an unexpected shutdown.
  • Connect: macOS: Fix the host screen freezing on certain older Intel Macs with Skylake-era integrated graphics.
  • Connect: macOS: Fix Intel Macs being left with no working display (headless until reboot) after using virtual displays.
  • Connect: macOS: Fix virtual displays sometimes failing to appear on the first connection after a reboot.
  • Connect: Windows: Pen barrel buttons now produce right-click and middle-click as expected.
  • Viewer: macOS: Fix a crash that could occur in the contact list.
  • Viewer: iOS: Fix a blurry remote desktop on iPad Pro displays using Display Zoom / "More Space".
